Outdoor Lunch Seating
As we prepared for school during the COVID-19 pandemic, HOO Club Leadership felt it was essential to provide a safe environment for eating lunch. Thus began the initiative led by then President Emily Fischer to obtain permission and resources for outdoor lunch.
Cut tree trunks were acquired and placed for individual seating in our school garden area.
School administration purchased picnic tables, and HOO Club/Leadership students assembled them. Some were placed at the front of the school by the cafeteria, and others were placed in the back of the school behind the cafeteria and in the garden area.
The goal was to try to continue having outdoor lunch as a tradition and enjoyable option for OHS students even after the pandemic is over.
